The program is to develop children to become positive role models in their families as well as in their community. Also, educate the awareness of substance abuse, bullying and good health and hygiene. The program consists of many components.

Life Skills for Our Youth

Cooking With GiGi


To help children to become self-sufficient in the kitchen and show their creative culinary skills. Children will also become more familiar with different types of cuisine and learn how to prepare simple and economical meals. The  program will also incorporate equitte classes.

Adolescent Drug/Substance Abuse and Bullying Program


Our program will allow children (and including parents) to speak with counselors on issues they may have at home, school or with their peers and can develop a solution to the problem and build the child’s self-esteem. The program is also going to target social media bullying and to teach youth that bullying is wrong.


Tutorial Assistance for Youth



Peer and Adult tutors will be available for students in need of help with their classwork.

Turning Hopelessness into Hope

Monthly Free Community Luncheon

The third Tuesday of every month in collaboration with the Eastern Kanawha Prevention Partnership (EKPP) and the Kanawha Communities That Care (KCTC), the Hope Lunch Bunch provides a free lunch for anyone who wishes to stop by the Center.  Social Service Organizations from the Charleston Area are here to provide information on assistance for those in need. Lunch is served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30
